If you do not agree, do not use the Services. --- 2) Who May Use the Services You must be at least 18 years old (or the legal age of majority in your jurisdiction) to enroll. If you are using the Services on behalf of a school, district, or organization, you confirm that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms. --- 3) Account Registration and Security You may need an account to access the Services. You agree to provide accurate information and to keep your login credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity under your account. We may suspend or terminate accounts that we reasonably believe are compromised, misused, or violate these Terms. --- 4) Course Access, Sequencing, and Completion Rules AEN courses may be sequential, meaning learners must complete modules in order to unlock the next module. Unless stated otherwise on the course page: Course access is granted to the enrolled user only. Progress and completion are tracked through the Platform. Completion may require quiz attempts, minimum passing scores, activities, reflections, and/or capstone submission. --- 5) Continuing Education Credit and Certificates If a course is labeled as “accredited” or “approved for continuing education (CE) credit,” eligibility for CE credit may depend on meeting completion requirements (e.g., minimum quiz scores, completion of all modules, capstone submission). Important: AEN does not guarantee acceptance of CE credit by every employer, state agency, district, or credentialing body. You are responsible for confirming acceptance with your licensing or professional authority. --- 6) Payments, Pricing, and Taxes If the Services include paid offerings: Prices are shown at checkout and may change for future purchases. You authorize us (or our payment processor) to charge your payment method for the total amount, including applicable taxes. Refunds (No refunds after access) All sales are final once course access has been granted, unless required by law. --- 7) Intellectual Property and License to Use All course materials—including videos, scripts, slides, assessments, frameworks, templates, and workbooks—are owned by AEN or licensed to AEN and are protected by intellectual property laws. AEN grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the course materials for your personal professional learning (or internal organizational training if explicitly licensed). You may not: Share login access, resell, sublicense, or redistribute content Post course videos or materials publicly or in shared drives accessible beyond your licensed users Copy or reproduce substantial portions of content for commercial use Remove watermarks, copyright notices, or attributions --- 8) Acceptable Use You agree not to: Use the Services for unlawful purposes Attempt to hack, scrape, disrupt, or reverse engineer the Platform or content Upload malicious code or harmful files Harass others or post discriminatory, hateful, or threatening content in any community areas (if enabled) --- 9) AI Tools, Student Data, and Professional Responsibility AEN courses may discuss AI tools and AI-assisted workflows for education. You remain responsible for your professional decisions and for complying with your school or district policies and applicable laws. Student privacy expectations You agree not to enter, upload, or share personally identifiable student information (or other sensitive data) into any third-party AI tool unless you have the necessary permissions and your organization explicitly allows it. AEN does not require the submission of student data and does not intentionally collect personally identifiable student information. Any instructional examples involving students are expected to be hypothetical, anonymized, or fictional. AEN provides educational guidance—not legal advice—on privacy, ethics, and compliance. Always follow your district’s tool-approval process and data-protection rules. --- 10) User Content (If Assignments or Capstones Are Submitted) If a course requires submission of a capstone, reflection, or assignment (“User Content”): You retain ownership of your User Content. You grant AEN a limited license to store, review, and evaluate your User Content solely for course administration, assessment, and credentialing purposes. If you opt in through separate permission, you may allow AEN to use anonymized examples for improving the course or instructional materials. Do not submit confidential student records, protected health information, or other sensitive data. --- 11) Privacy and Data Protection AEN is committed to protecting user privacy and handling personal data responsibly. AEN acts as the data controller for information collected in connection with the Services. BrainCert operates as a data processor and learning management platform provider, hosting and delivering course content on AEN’s behalf. Personal data is collected and used only for account administration, course delivery, certification, and support purposes. Use of the Services is also governed by AEN’s Privacy Policy, which explains what data is collected, how it is used, how long it is retained, and the rights available to users under applicable law. By using the Services, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with that Privacy Policy. --- 12) Third-Party Services and Links The Services may link to third-party websites or tools, including BrainCert. AEN is not responsible for third-party content, availability, privacy practices, or terms.
